Your data is safe there! Anyone who still believes this nonsense is really beyond help. Because of course the cloud operator can access everything. And as OVH has demonstrated, cloud servers and their backups are completely fail-safe. Now Capture One has gone one better. They have discontinued support for “Capture One Express”. […]
I had the WG-6 in my hand for the first time a few weeks ago at the Ringfotomesse and thought to myself – Hey, this thing can do almost everything like the TG-6 and has 21MP. And costs 200 euros less. I have to try it out. Two days ago, I took […]
The spectral color filter was probably modern in the last millennium. I got hold of one about 15 years ago at Heliopan and haven’t seen one since. In a price list from 2012 at Heliopan, it was supposedly still in stock. It doesn’t make the usual star around light sources, as a […]
Writing big news about the seven-and-a-half Laowa is probably no longer possible. The biggest problem with it is that at f/2 it requires focusing with magnification. If you do this, you will be rewarded with crisp images. If I had rejects, it was because I thought I could save myself the trouble. […]
Ted has been working at Olympus since 2010, to be precise, and takes photos on the side. Professionally, at least that’s what he says on his website “Hire me!” It’s a bit silly that in a “making of” photo shoot on Independence Day, he not only shows slippers in camouflage and a […]
There is often the problem that “commercial photographers” are only allowed to take photos in some areas with a paid permit. In what are actually public parks, but which are the “private property” of a state institution. In Binz on the island of Rügen, they have now come up with a cool […]
After I had found Alicia Rey, I set about looking for other photographers at OMDS – after all, I had been spreading the rumor for a long time that nobody at OMDS except Nils and Michael knew how to operate a camera. And lo and behold, I found what I was looking […]
You’re doing some research and suddenly you come across a name in Spain: Alicia Rey. “Marketing Specialist” at OMDS. The number of marketing specialists at OMDS is considerable, but most of them are “coordinators” or “managers” or something else. Ms. Rey is simply a “specialist”. I don’t know why I kept reading. […]
I had already posted a few photos from the 9mm Panaleica. And as announced, I’m now only looking at the performance on an Oly. First of all, what comes out of the lens: And no, the painters in Rocksdorf didn’t have a few too many crates of beer. This is what comes […]
It just came in the Facebook feed of OMDS. Melanie Többe is an Ambassador. freelance photographer specializing in outdoor, lifestyle and adventure. She took a photography course in Australia during her studies in 2018 and loved it so much that she decided to become a photographer. If you want to see what […]
There was a comment under my last Uultra Wide Angle (UWA) article that drew my attention to the fact that Panasonic cameras treat lenses differently to Olympus cameras. I should test this. This is almost impossible to do freehand in the field, because even the slightest deviations in the light source can […]
