I started translating some articles into English some time ago, but stopped because the effort involved in translating almost 2000 articles was beyond my imagination. Now that I’ve been doing daily content for over a year and I’ve had a lot of requests for English versions, I’ve decided to post all new articles in English for the time being.
I ask all native speakers not to judge too harshly. Of course, I translate using deepl – but I proofread all texts, because my rather idiosyncratic style in German is often difficult to translate correctly. Nevertheless, the English often comes across as bumpy. I apologize for this. Of course, I could recommend an automatic translation program to readers, such as OMDS, but unfortunately I find that even Deepl is sometimes unable to translate in a meaningful way and formulates sheer nonsense. So I’d rather have bumpy but correct text made by me – than nonsense made by Google…

Richtig lustig wird es, wenn man mit mehreren Programmen den selben Text übersetzen lässt und dies dann Muttersprachler lesen lässt. Da hat die KI noch deutliches Potential.
