There will be six of us. The PEN, an E-3, Alexander, me, my 1990 2CV and … the rust. After the TÜV found fault with the kingpins at the appointment, I inspected the car a bit more. When removing the rust from the left front mudguard, a piece of sheet metal the size of the palm of my hand flew off with it. That’s why the mudguard is missing from this picture. Instead, you can see a brown stain at the bottom of the A-pillar, which, after a bit of poking with a screwdriver, fell victim to the flex along with the underlying substance… In the meantime, however, the side looks quite presentable again, the entrance and mudguard are freshly done. Next week it will be the turn of the right-hand side – and the interior. The standard state – four seats – is of course not quite suitable for travelling and still needs to be “modified” a little.
