Anniversary. It slipped through my fingers as usual. I waited days for the 10,000th comment – and then it was suddenly 10,021. If I haven’t miscounted, the 10,000th comment came from Achim from Hamburg and is about the resilience of tomato skins.
10,000 comments on 1794 articles. The comments came within 5 years and 8 months, because all the comments on the Blogspot articles are in the digital orcus.
That’s an average of just under five comments per day.
That’s crisp.
And these are only the comments that I have activated. All the spam and pure hate comments have long since been deleted…. And my own comments have already been deducted.
I’m curious to see how long it will take us to reach the next 10,000 comments – if the average of the last 20 posts is maintained, we’ll be there on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
No, there’s nothing to win. But for every “creator” such statistics are quite exciting. And yes, 10k comments in five years – some YouTubers just laugh about it. They can easily get that in a week. But I still think it’s great – especially because it often brings together well-founded information.

Seh ich genauso, Fragen werden ernst genommen und bekommen eine vernünftige Antwort, Hinweise werden auch ernst genommen ggf. werden sogar Bücher korrigiert, wo gibt es so etwas noch? Gruß Thorsten
Es kommt nicht auf die Masse der Kommentare an, sondern auf die Art der Kommentare. Die sind hier immer angenehm. Im Gegensatz zu Youtube. Da habe ich die über mein Adguard komplett abgeschaltet. Kommentare auf großen Plattformen eher schwierig. Am ehesten findet man noch bei Reddit dank der freiwilligen Moderatoren Diskussionskultur.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch Reinhard. Ist aber auch kein Wunder, der Umgangston der veröffentlichen Kommentare ist einfach umgänglich und inhaltlich sind sie fundiert. Zudem kommen die m.E. recht interessanten Themen.
